Introducing

Driven by my passion to refine aesthetic medicine, I created the Multi-Layer, Multi-Modal Individualized Treatment Protocol (MMITP) to address each layer of the face with precision and artistry. My purpose is to advance our field by combining rigorous science with a deeply personal, holistic perspective, ensuring patients achieve naturally radiant, enduring results.

Introducting
Facial aging runs deeper than what we see on the surface. Over time, the skin loses elasticity, facial fat compartments shift, muscles weaken, and the underlying bone structure gradually resorbs.
Dr. Tatjana Pavicic’s Multi-Layer, Multi-Modal Individualized Treatment Protocol (MMITP) addresses each of these layers through a scientifically grounded plan that is customized to the patient’s exact needs. Rather than relying on quick fixes or a one-size-fits-all method, MMITP structures facial rejuvenation in a way that feels simultaneously thorough, precise, and refreshingly natural.

A Multi-Layer Approach
What makes MMITP unique is its recognition that every layer—from the outermost skin to the deepest bony support—ages in its own distinct way. By mapping the patient’s face with an expert understanding of these anatomical changes, Dr. Pavicic can accurately determine which combination of treatments will best restore youthful contours. It might involve skin-resurfacing techniques to improve texture at the surface, injectable fillers to replace lost volume in deeper fat compartments, and neuromodulators or device-based therapies to tighten underlying fascia or adjust muscular activity. Because each therapy is aimed at a different “layer,” the results look harmonious instead of artificially smoothed or overfilled.
The Science and Innovation Behind MMITP
Research shows that combining multiple approaches to facial rejuvenation typically outperforms using just one technique alone¹. MMITP pushes this synergy further by carefully sequencing and layering treatments in line with each patient’s overall anatomy, not just a single concern like wrinkles or volume loss. For instance, selectively tightening deeper structures first may reduce how much filler is ultimately required, while strategic neuromodulator injections can enable more conservative placement of injectables elsewhere. This interplay preserves each patient’s unique identity while providing a fresher look.
Recent studies underscore the versatility and synergy of microfocused ultrasound with visualization (MFU-V) in multi-modal protocols. When paired with fillers, MFU-V can create a firmer underlying scaffold, sometimes reducing the total filler volume needed². A separate investigation found that combining MFU-V with topical CO₂ therapy for moderate to severe periorbital wrinkles significantly improved outcomes over single-modality approaches³. Patients in this open-label, prospective trial experienced better skin elasticity and enhanced wrinkle reduction, demonstrating yet another instance of how well-chosen complementary treatments can amplify aesthetic results. Carefully timing these procedures—allowing tissues to recover from one modality before introducing the next—helps ensure consistent, predictable improvements.
A hallmark of MMITP is that it is guided by an ever-evolving body of scientific data⁴. Fillers that stimulate collagen, energy-based devices clinically proven to boost tissue firmness, and neuromodulators known for their precise targeting are all woven into a seamless plan. Results often last longer, require fewer touch-ups, and deliver a level of refinement that single-modality treatments rarely match.

“My background as a phd in anatomy, as well as my global experience with over 10,000 patients treated, and 1,000 physicians trained globally lead me to my ‘Multi-Layer, Multi-Modal Personalised Treatment protocol’.”Dr. Tatjana Pavicic MD • PHD
Individualized Aesthetics and Ongoing Prevention
Each face is different—unique in skeletal structure, muscle activity, and genetic predispositions. MMITP is not a standardized protocol but rather a dynamic collaboration between Dr. Pavicic and her patients. Factors such as lifestyle, aesthetic goals, and cultural ideals of beauty all play a role in deciding which treatments are most appropriate and in what order they should be performed.
Aging, of course, does not stop. MMITP includes a maintenance plan to preserve improvements and fend off new age-related changes as they begin to appear. By improving tissue health and reinforcing structural support, the protocol can reduce the need for more aggressive interventions later on. This long-term perspective shifts the focus from simple “correction” to a proactive partnership in graceful aging.
Navigating Budget Constraints
While MMITP provides a comprehensive, multi-layer strategy, patients with specific budget parameters need not miss out on its benefits. A phased approach can target top priorities first—such as addressing midface volume deficits or refining skin quality—before layering in additional modalities over time. This structure helps patients see tangible improvements at each stage and ensures that costs are spread out in a practical way, without sacrificing aesthetic harmony or the high standard of care.
Path to Natural Rejuvenation
Dr. Tatjana Pavicic’s Multi-Layer, Multi-Modal Individualized Treatment Protocol stands at the crossroads of rigorous scientific insight, deep anatomical understanding, and a keen appreciation for personal aesthetics. By examining each layer of the face and bringing together multiple, evidence-based therapies, MMITP delivers results that are both nuanced and transformative. Whether you seek subtle enhancement or a more extensive refresh, the protocol’s emphasis on individualized care ensures that you remain authentically you—just more radiant.

Understanding Facial Layers
Skin (Layer One)
The outermost layer of the face, the skin, is constantly exposed to environmental factors and reflects the first visible signs of aging. Collagen, elastin, and proteoglycans make up the skin’s supportive network, but over time, they degrade. This leads to fine lines, wrinkles, and a loss of elasticity and glow.
Subcutaneous Fat (Layer Two)
Beneath the skin lie superficial fat pads that shape the face. Aging can shift them downward or upward, altering facial contours. Certain areas, like the nasolabial and jowl compartments, tend to migrate downward and can create pronounced folds or sagging.
Superficial Fascial System & Muscles (Layer Three)
This layer includes the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) and the facial muscles crucial for expression. With age, these structures lose firmness and elasticity, contributing to sagging and dynamic wrinkles.
Deep Fat Compartments & Spaces (Layer Four)
Deeper fat pockets provide foundational support and volume to the face. Over time, they often shrink or shift—especially in the midface, around the infraorbital area, and near the nasal base—contributing to a sunken or hollow look.
Periosteum & Bone (Layer Five)
Although we can’t directly regenerate bone without surgical intervention, it’s vital to understand how bone resorption (particularly along the jaw, chin, and orbital rim) accelerates aging. The underlying bone structure forms the scaffolding for facial contours.
